Autumn mail update

Hello! A lot has happened lately, school and student life takes a lot of my time. So that's why I haven't really had time for my blog. In the future I'll write here once in while, but not regularly, I just don't have the time at the moment. :I But I'll be around, I still continue writing letters with my pen pals. :)

Heippa! Lähiaikoina on tapahtunut paljon, opiskelu ja opiskelijaelämä vie tosi paljon mun aikaa. Sen takia ei ole tullut kirjoteltua tänne paljoakaan. Tuun kirjottelemaan tänne aina silloin tällöin, mutta en enää kovin säännöllisesti - aika ei vaan riitä tällä hetkellä kaikkeen mitä haluaisi. Mutta olen täällä edelleen ja jatkan kirjeenvaihtoa, tuskin lopetan sitä koskaan. :)

Letter to Lucia, Hong Kong. I added some Lapland themed stuff to the letter. You may probably guess that my new hometown is now Rovaniemi, the "capital" of Lapland. :) / Kirje Lucialle Hong Kongiin. Kirjeen mukaan laitoin Lappi-aiheisia juttuja. Varmaan arvaattekin, että olen muuttanut Rovaniemelle. :)

Letter to Klaudia, Poland. I sent her also some envelopes, xylitol chewing gum and candy. / Kirje Klaudialle Puolaan. Lähetin hänelle myös muutamia kirjekuoria, purkkaa ja karkin.

Letter to my most long-term pen pal, Germany. To him I also sent some Lapland stuff. / Kirje pitkäaikaisimmalle kirjekamulleni Saksaan. Hänellekkin lähetin vähän Lappi -aiheisia jutskia.

A dear friend of mine sent me a lovely package which contained some useful things to my new flat. :3 Thank you so much! / Hyvä ystäväni lähetti minulle ihanan tuparilahjan, paljon kiitoksia! :) 

Lovely letter from Lucia, Hong Kong. She also sent me a b-day present: a beautiful purse/wallet and a bookmark. Thank you so much! / Ihana kirje Lucialta Hong Kongista. Hän lähetti lisäksi minulle synttärilahjan: kauniin pussukan ja kirjanmerkin.

Buttefly envelopes and other stuff

Hello everyone! :) I have moved to a new city and everything is so exciting and NEW. My time has gone mostly with moving and buying things to my (shared) flat. The weather is also amazing so I have spent a lot time outside lately. :) But anyways, here's the latest incoming and outgoing letters!  

Moikka! Olen nyt muuttanut uuteen kaupunkiin opiskelujen perässä ja aika onkin kulunut melko lailla muutossa ja tavaroiden ostelussa. Lisäksi ulkonakin on tullut pyörittyä melko ahkerasti hyvän sään takia. :) Vihdoinkin on lämmintä ja mukavaa! Tässäpä viimeisimpiä kirjeitä!

These envelopes turned out to be so pretty! / Näistä kirjekuorista tuli jotenki niin nättejä! :3

Swap to Poland. She contacted me via interpals and asked if I'd be interested in a small swap. She wanted some Moomin stuff so this is what I ended up sending to her. / Swappi Puolaan. Tyttö otti minuun yhteyttä interpalsissa ja ehdotti swappia. Hän oli (luonnollisesti) innokas muumifani, joten lähetin hänelle tällaisen muumipaketin.

And this is what I got from her! Some stickers, postcards, stationery, bracelet and goofy plastic bag. :) / Minä taas sain swapissa tarroja, postikortteja, kirjepaperia, rannekorun ja hauskan muovitaskun.

I found some cheap postcards from a local flea market. These lovelies cost 40 cents each. / Löysimpä halpoja postikortteja kirpparilta. Nämä maksoivat 40 senttiä kipaleelta.

And these postcards (and the postcards in the next photo) are from the local recycling center. All in all these cards cost only 25 cents! A-ma-zing! / Lisäksi löysin kierrätyskeskuksesta kasan postikortteja, jotka maksoivat yhteensä vain 25 senttiä!

Last week I was organizing my drawers and I found my braid (ok, sounds just a bit creepy :D) which I cutted off in November. I have been keeping it in my drawer because I have thought about donating it somewhere. In Finland we don't have any cancer companies (etc) which would be interested in hair donations. So, I decided to send my cutted hair to UK, to Little Princess Trust. They make wigs for children who have cancer and who can't afford a wig. They give these wigs to the children for free. It feels great to take part in something amazing like this! I hope they will receive my donation soon! :) / 

Viime viikolla järjestelin vähän laatikoita ja löysin lettini, jonka leikkasin marraskuussa. Olen säästänyt sitä, koska halusin lahjoittaa sen jonnekin. Suomessa ei tietääkseni ole sellaista syöpäyhtiötä (yms), joka ottaisi vastaan hiuslahjoituksia. Joten päätin sitten lähettää hiukseni Englantiin Little Princess Trust -nimiseen yhtiöön. Siellä hiuslahjoituksista tehdään peruukkeja syöpää sairastaville lapsille, joilla ei ole varaa ostaa peruukkia. Valmiit peruukit annetaankin ilmaiseksi lapsille. Tuntuu upealta osallistua hyväntekeväisyyteen tällä tavalla! Toivottavasti mun paketti saapuu nopeasti ja turvallisesti Englantiin! :)

I have also sent couple of postcards after a long break. These cards travelled  USA, China and Russia. / Lähetin pitkästä aikaa myös muutaman kortin. Nämä menivät Yhdysvaltoihin, Kiinaan ja Venäjälle.

I received postcards from Thailand (my 1st postcard from Thailand!) and Ukraine. / Sain kortin Thaimaasta (ensimmäinen korttini Thaimaasta) ja Ukrainasta.
