Autumn hustle

Here I am after two months! I actually have no reason why I didn't post anything in August... I guess I was busy being lazy! :D Autumn is here and the trees are looking so beautiful with the colorful leaves! I really like autumn time (thought I hate the darkness).
The student life have begun once again. I started my second year in University in the beginning of September. Next week I have my first exam for the year, eek! I'm trying to be a hard-working student! Anyways, I have received some lovely mail lately, thank you for the letters. Though it might take a while to reply them because of the school stuff.

/ Olen elossa! En tiedä miksen kirjoitellut elokuussa, luultavasti olin hyvin laiskalla päällä ja keskityin lomailuun. :D Syksy tuli taas ja toi mukanaan kauniit syyskelit ja ruskan. Tykkään kyllä paljon syksystä, vaikkakin pimeys on vähän pelottavaa. Opiskelijaelämä jatkuu, aloitin toisen vuoden yliopistossa syyskuun alussa ja ihan hyvin on mennyt. Ensi viikolla onkin vuoden eka tentti huiui! Yritän olla ahkera opiskelija... (paino sanalla YRITÄN). Lähiaikoina on tullut kivoja kirjeitä, kiitos paljon niistä! Niiden vastaamiseen tosin voi mennä hiukan aikaa, koska yritän keskittyä koulujuttuihin.

En tiedä onko hän saanut kirjettä vielä, kirjeiden saapuminen Yhdysvaltoihin vie yllättävän kauan.

Some days you just don't feel like decorating letters at all :D / Kirje Natallylle Slovakiaan. Vähän on valjun näköinen kirje, ei vissiin ole oikein inspannu!

Letter to Marta, Czech Republic. Because she sent me her last letter written on postcards, I decided to do the same! I also made her a bookmark. / Kirje Martalle Tsekkiin. Kirjoitin kirjeen postikortteihin samaan tyyliin kuin hän teki viime kirjeessään. Teimpä hänelle myös kirjanmerkin.

SUMMER VACATION

Yaaaaaay, my summer vacation has finally begun! I had the last day of work today and now I have a month to enjoy the rest of the summer before school starts again. I have been waiting for this holiday for so long... :D Finally I can sleep in and do the things I have wanted to do for a while. I start this holiday by posting a couple pics of my latest mail.

/ Jeeeeeee, kesäloma alkoi vihdoin! Tänään oli mun viimeinen työpäivä ja nyt voin sitten nautiskella loppukesästä. Syyskuussa alkaakin taas koulu. Oon jo pitkään odotellut lomaa, tuntuu että olin jo niin väsynyt tuohon kesätyöhön... Nyt voi taas nukkua pitkään ja tehä kaikkee kivaa :-) Mutta, tässäpä viimeisimpiä kirjeitä.

Letter from Marta, Czech Republic. This time she send me these lovely postcards and wrote the letter on the cards. She also sent me this Moomin bookmark! / Kirje Martalta Tsekistä. Hän kirjoitti kirjeen tällä kertaa nätteihin postikortteihin. Lisäksi sain söpön muumi-kirjanmerkin!

Letter to Daria, Poland. I made her a bookmark, which, remarkably, turn out pretty cute. / Kirje Darialle Puolaan. Tein Darialle myös kirjanmerkin, josta tuli jopa ihan sievä.

Letter from Natalia, Slovakia. She also added some animal-themed stickers to the letter! / Kirje Natalialta Slovakiasta. Sain lisäksi vähän elukka-aiheisia tarroja.

In the beginning of July I visited Järvenpää. The home of the famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius is located there. I visited the place, called Ainola (named after his wife Aino). Sibelius also died in this house. I think it was such a magical milieu. I loved the house and also the garden and nature surrounding the house. I bought these postcard from the Ainola shop and I'll probably keep all these cards myself. :D / Heinäkuun alussa kävin Järvenpäässä ja siellä tuli käytyä Ainolassa, Sibeliuksen kodissa. Paikka oli kyllä uskomattoman hieno. Talo oli ihana, mutta myös sitä ympäröivä puutarha ja luonto oli lumoava! :) Ostin nämä kortit Ainolassa sijaitsevasta kaupasta, taidan pitää nämä ihan itselläni. :D

July mail and some purchases

Hello everyone! :) I have been very busy with work lately... I'm exhausted after every day of work (I work as a hospital cleaner/assistant). But when I come home and there's a postcard or a letter waiting for me, it cheers me up instantly! :) I have sent a couple of postcrossing postcards after a long break and received some lovely postcards as well. I still have three weeks of work ahead of me and after that my summer holiday begins, hooray!

/ Heippa! :) Olen ollut viime aikoina kiireinen ja yliväsynyt töiden takia. Työskentelen siis sairaalasiivoojana ja työ on tosi rankkaa. Töiden jälkeen on kuitenkin piristävää löytää postilaatikosta kirje tai kortti, erityisesti postcrossing -kortteja on tullut lähiaikoina mukavasti. Enää kolme viikkoa töitä ja sitten alkaakin kesäloma! :)

PC-cards from USA and France. I especially like the North Carolina postcard. I would like to get a similar postcard from every state of the USA. / PC-kortit USA:sta ja Ranskasta. Tykkäsin erityisesti North Carolina -kortista. Haluaisin saada samantyylisen postikortin jokaisesta USA:n osavaltiosta.

And then some shoppings... I finally bought myself new pens as my old stabilo's ran out of ink. These pens have two "heads", the other one is sharper, for writing. And the other one is more like a marker, for colouring etc. So far I have liked these pens a lot, I think they are even better than stabilo's. / Ostimpa vihdoin uudet kynät itselleni. Vanhat stabiloni kuivuivat jo ajat sitten käyttökelvottomiksi ja ostin nyt eri merkkiset kynät. Näissä kynissä toinen pää on kirjoittamista varten ja toinen, leveämpi pää, esimerkiksi värittämistä varten. Tähän mennessä olen havainnut näiden kynien olevan oikein hyvät!

I also bought these brown etiquette stickers for envelopes. These were very cheap and they look very nice on an envelope! / Ostin myös etikettejä osoitteiden kirjoittamista varten. Olivat halpoja ja näyttävät minusta kivoilta kirjekuoren päällä!

Also I have bought some cute postcards from flea markets / Kirppareilta on myös löytynyt muutamia söpöjä postikortteja

Spring mail

Hi! Lately I've been quite busy with writing essays and such. So I just haven't got the time to write letters! :( (Sorry pen pals, I'll reply to your letters tomorrow!) Luckily the summer is coming so I'll have more time for this dear hobby. Sure I have summer job, but at least I don't have any homework to do after work. :D

/ Heippa! Lähiaikoina on ollut taas koulukiireitä, eikä ole ollut aikaa kirjoitella kirjeitä. Eipä tänne blogiinkaan ole tullut oikein kirjoiteltua. Onneksi kesä on tulossa ja sitten on taas aikaa kirjoitella kirjeitä ihan ajan kanssa. :) Menen kyllä kesällä töihin, mutta töitten jälkeen voi onneksi vain rentoutua ja tehdä mitä huvittaa. Toista se on tämä opiskelijaelämä. :D

Here are some postcards that I bought from a local flea market! One card cost 30 cents. Nowadays I buy postcards, letterpaper and other mail-themed stuff quite rarely. Letter things are pretty expensive in Finland if you ask me... / Tässäpä muutama kirpparilta ostettu postikortti. Yksi kortti maksoi 30 senttiä, eli yhteensä nämä maksoivat 1,80 e. En nykyään hirveesti ostele postikortteja tai muita kirjejuttuja. Ne on ainakin mun mielestä suhteellisen kalliita Suomessa...
